On January 30, 2024, the ITMS project, represented by Dr. Andreas Becker, Chief of Climate Monitoring at DWD, visited the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection.

The purpose of this visit was a workshop on key projects of the The German Federal Government’s Space Strategy, released in 2023. The ITMS project is mentioned in this strategy. In Berlin, Andreas Becker presented the ITMS and its connections to precise emission measurements from space.
